Legendary mountaineer Nirmal “Nims Dai” Purja, known for his remarkable feat of climbing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks in an unprecedented six months and six days, has tragically lost his life. An avalanche struck his expedition on Broad Peak, located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, leading to the conclusion of a two-day search operation.
