On Sunday (June 28, 2026), police accompanied Siya Goyal, a suspect in the alleged murder of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, a Pune-based realtor, to Lohagad Fort for a reconstruction of the crime scene, as confirmed by an official.

The police stated that this exercise is intended to meticulously recreate the sequence of events from June 18, when Agarwal was reportedly pushed to his death from the fort by Siya, aged 20, and her alleged accomplice, Chetan Chaudhary, who is 22 years old.

According to a senior official from the Pune rural police, “Siya was taken to the location at Lohagad Fort from where it is claimed that she, alongside Chetan Chaudhary, pushed Agarwal. Chetan will be brought to the fort for reconstruction separately.”

The recreation of the crime scene aims to verify the details surrounding Goyal’s assertions about how Agarwal was allegedly pushed off the edge of the fort.

Both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary have been arrested under suspicion of conspiring to kill Agarwal and executing the act at Lohagad Fort, located in the Pune district.

Reports indicate that Siya has allegedly expressed to the police her desire not to marry Agarwal. She purportedly conspired with Chaudhary to murder him, believing that terminating the engagement would tarnish her family’s reputation.

Investigators are currently examining multiple facets of the case, including the meticulous planning behind the alleged murder, the behaviors of the suspects before and after the incident, their digital footprints, and the underlying motive for the crime, as stated by a senior police official.
