These elections could determine the balance of power in Congress, with all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 37 Senate seats up for grabs. Additionally, gubernatorial races are underway in 36 states, adding another dimension to this high-stakes political landscape.

Among the Indian-American candidates, Vivek Ramaswamy is facing a tough fight in the Ohio Governor race. Despite backing from former President Donald Trump, Ramaswamy trails his Democratic opponent, Amy Acton, by a notable margin. His campaign experience underscores the challenges faced even with substantial endorsements in politically competitive environments.
Suhas Subramanyam’s Victory in Virginia
Meanwhile, Suhas Subramanyam has successfully secured re-election in Virginia’s 10th congressional district. Previously serving as a technology policy advisor under President Barack Obama, Subramanyam secured a commendable 61% of the vote, defeating his Republican challenger, Dave Beckwith. Fierce Contests Across States

Similarly, Pramila Jayapal seeks to maintain her role in Washington’s 7th District amidst competition from Republican Nirav Sheth. As one of the first Indian-American women in Congress, Jayapal’s campaign remains a significant watchpoint.
Further Notable Aspirations
Ami Bera, seeking another term in California’s 3rd Congressional District, stands among the longest-serving Indian-Americans in the House. Over in Texas, Pooja Sethi and Sandeep Srivastava are striving to break new ground in state politics.
