Implications on Sheeran’s Tour

Immediately, the situation escalated when influential figures, like billionaire and stadium owner Robert Kraft, reportedly intervened. Kraft allegedly insisted on Macklemore’s exclusion from performances at his stadium, as highlighted in a publicized Instagram post by Macklemore. This was described as a means to preserve genuine discourse without promoting further divisive narratives.

Due to these demands, Macklemore’s presence posed a risk of potential concert cancellations by venue owners, prompting Sheeran’s promoter, Messina Touring Group, to remove Macklemore from the tour altogether by mid-September.
