Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Extended Until 2031

The Indian government has officially sanctioned the extension of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, ensuring it will continue from the fiscal year 2026-27 through 2030-31. The initiative boasts a substantial financial outlay of ₹3.1 lakh crore.

This significant scheme is designed to provide much-needed support to eligible farmer families holding land. Each qualifying household is set to receive ₹6,000 per annum, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. This assistance plays a crucial role in bolstering the economic status of farmer families across the nation.

The government emphasized the positive impact of the scheme, noting that it has significantly improved farmers’ productive capacity. By alleviating financial burdens, farmers can invest more effectively in their agricultural practices, leading to enhanced yields and sustainability.

This continuation reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, which is vital for India’s economy. As farming is the primary occupation for a substantial portion of the Indian population, such programs are crucial in ensuring the welfare of farmer families and the overall stability of the agricultural landscape.
